Job summary

Gfoat enacts field operations focusing on the repair, installation, and maintenance of water and wastewater systems. You will service pipelines, hydrants, and meters, with duties extending to lift stations and associated equipment.

The role requires some experience, a Texas CDL A within 180 days, and either a D water license or I wastewater license within a year, supporting safe and compliant operations across sites.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Texas Class A CDL Driver’s License required within 180 days of employment.
• TCEQ Class D Water license or TCEQ Class I Wastewater Collection license within 1 year of employment.
• Preferably 1 year of experience in water and wastewater line maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on water and wastewater pipelines, valves, hydrants, and grinder pumps.
• Repair streets after wastewater line work is completed.
• Assist with troubleshooting, repairs, installations, and maintenance of pump stations and lift stations.
• Maintain water quality through flushing and chlorine readings, keep records.
• Inspect wastewater system infrastructure and operate sewer cameras and jet/vac equipment as assigned.
• Locate lines reading maps, blueprints, and computer screens for construction projects.
• Ensure safe, accurate, and timely completion of duties.
• Respond to standby or emergency calls as required.
