Job summary

The City of Siloam Springs is seeking a Water/Wastewater Maintenance Worker to install, repair, and maintain water and sewer infrastructure. The role may involve servicing equipment, city streets, and brush clearing as needed.

The successful candidate will inspect pump stations, meters, and lines, perform preventative maintenance, and coordinate with the GIS Analyst for mapping. A Class B CDL or ability to obtain within 12 months is required.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and maintenance instructions.
• Must be able to perform routine inspections and repair tasks.
• Ability to operate and maintain a variety of water/wastewater equipment.

Responsibilities

• Inspects and repairs booster pump stations, meters, drainage and wastewater systems.
• Maintain records relating to inspections and maintenance activity.
• Determine and locate underground utility lines before excavation.
• Operate dump trucks, mowers, service trucks and other equipment as needed.
• Perform routine inspection and preventative maintenance on assigned equipment.
• Maintain and perform maintenance on water mains, hydrants and services.
• Complete work orders and record readings for Utility Billing.
• Follow safety standards and participate in on-call rotations.
