Job summary

Gulfshoresal is seeking a general laborer for water distribution and wastewater maintenance tasks. The role includes installing and repairing mains, operating power tools and equipment, and ensuring safety on site. A Texas Class C license is required; a Class A CDL must be obtained after hire.

Work schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:30am–4:00pm. The position pays $18.35/hour or higher depending on licensing/certification, with non-exempt status and on-site responsibilities at city water/wastewater

Qualifications

Texas Class C driver’s license with a good driving record.
A Class A commercial driver’s license must be obtained after hire.

Responsibilities

Assist with installation and repair of water and sewer lines and related facilities.
Assemble and align water mains and service lines.
Operate air hammer, pick and shovel to remove dirt/rock; locate pipes.
Support preventative maintenance on water/wastewater systems.
Transport materials/tools; set up and remove traffic control devices.
Load/unload trucks; drive a dump truck as needed.
Operate hand and power tools and equipment; conduct daily safety checks.
Maintain and service tools/equipment; perform walk-around checks.
Observe safety precautions and wear PPE on sites.
Perform related duties and respond to work.
