Job summary

HNTB is seeking an Inspector to perform daily inspection of construction activities to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and contract provisions. The role involves maintaining daily logs, reviewing discrepancies with Field Engineer, and working on smaller, less complex projects.

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent and 3 years of construction related experience.
• All required jurisdictional certificates and state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Observes, documents, and verifies work in progress by the construction contractor to ensure compliance with contract documents and plans.
• Performs standard mathematical calculations and measurements of completed work to date.
• Maintains Inspector’s daily report of assigned work activities, contractor labor and equipment, quantity of material received and verified.
• Performs on-site material testing and produces as-constructed sketches as required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
