Job summary

HNTB is seeking an Inspector to provide daily on-site inspection of routine construction activities, ensuring compliance with plans, specs, and contract provisions. You will maintain daily logs, review discrepancies with Field Engineer, and work on relatively smaller, standard projects.

Responsibilities include observing work, confirming procedures, performing measurements, generating as-built sketches, and handling other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent with 3 years in construction.
• Ability to read and interpret plans and specs.
• Experience in field inspection and testing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Observe, document, and verify contractor work for compliance with plans and specs.
• Confirm procedures and material conformity with specifications.
• Perform standard mathematical calculations for completed work to date.
• Maintain daily inspector activity logs and track labor, equipment, and material.
• Conduct on-site material testing and produce as-constructed sketches.
