Job summary

Aqua, an Essential Utilities company, is seeking a Facility Operator in the Wimberley area to support water production facilities, wastewater treatment facilities, lift stations, and distribution systems. The role reports to the Field Supervisor and requires driving and dual licensing where applicable.

The ideal candidate will operate and maintain multiple facilities, perform water quality tasks, and ensure compliance with state and federal standards while contributing to safe, reliable service

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED.
• A valid U.S. Driver’s License.
• Minimum license requirement of C Water or C Wastewater for FO I; dual licensing for FO II; dual licensing of B or above Water and Wastewater for FO III.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain water production facilities and booster stations.
• Manage distribution system components including mains, valves, hydrants and service lines.
• Maintain wastewater treatment facilities and lift stations.
• Operate sewer collection systems including mains and pump stations.
• Troubleshoot and repair service piping and related equipment.
• Perform routine water quality analyses following established procedures.
• Adjust operations to comply with water quality standards and dosing calculations.
• Complete work orders and document activities per policies.
