Aqua, an Essential Utilities company, invites applications for a Facility Operator I. Under the Field Supervisor, you will operate and maintain water production facilities, wastewater treatment facilities, lift stations, distribution systems, and related equipment.

This entry-level role requires a high school diploma or GED and a valid U.S. driver's license; CDL Class C with Hazmat endorsement within 90 days is required; travel to sites is expected; on-call nights and weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• No prior experience required.
• Valid U.S. Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains equipment at water production facilities and booster stations.
• Operates and maintains distribution systems including mains, valves, hydrants, and service lines.
• Maintains equipment at wastewater treatment facilities and lift stations.
• Operates sewer collection systems including mains and pump stations.
• Performs routine water quality analysis and adjusts chemical treatment to meet standards.
• Completes work orders and documents activities per department policies.
