Job summary

Spencer Ogden represents an established heavy civil contractor in Arizona seeking an experienced Estimator for its Water/Wastewater team. You will develop detailed cost estimates for municipal water, wastewater, and infrastructure projects, review plans, perform quantity takeoffs, and coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers throughout bidding.

Qualifications

• 5+ years estimating or related heavy civil construction experience.
• Experience in water, wastewater, utilities or municipal infrastructure.
• Ability to read civil plans and prepare cost estimates.
• Strong pricing for subcontractors and suppliers.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent industry experience considered.
• Excellent communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed estimates covering labor, materials, equipment, and subs.
• Review plans and bid documents to define project scope.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and pricing for civil activities.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes.
• Develop labor and equipment production assumptions.
• Support bid reviews and contractor discussions.
• Collaborate with operations during project handover.
• Visit project sites as required during estimating.
