H. T. PROF Group is seeking an experienced Estimator for Water/Wastewater and Heavy Civil Construction in Arizona. You will analyze blueprints and specifications to generate accurate cost, time, and labor estimates, collaborating with engineers, clients, and subcontractors throughout project development.

The role requires strong mathematical and analytical skills, proficiency with estimating software and MS Office, and a commitment to cost control and safety in a dynamic construction environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of estimating experience in heavy civil or water/wastewater construction.
• Strong math, geometry, blueprint reading, and construction technology background.
• Proficiency in evaluating project data and applying cost/production factors.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with clients, owners, and subcontractors.
• Experience with bid proposals and competitive tendering.

Responsibilities

• Analyze blueprints, specs, and documents to prepare time, material, and labor estimates.
• Evaluate cost-effectiveness and track costs against estimates during execution.
• Conduct studies to establish standard costs and identify savings opportunities.
• Collaborate with engineers, owners, and subcontractors on changes and value engineering.
• Consult with clients, vendors, and field teams to clarify project details and resolve cost concerns.
• Review material and labor requirements and prepare itemized bid lists.
• Prepare management-ready estimates for scheduling, vendor selection, and bid strategies.
• Participate in site visits to validate field conditions.
• Support marketing and business development with professional proposals.
• Attend weekly management meetings to review workload and bid strategy.
• Promote safety policies across estimating activities.
