Job summary

Broward County Government seeks an Engineering Unit Supervisor in the Water and Wastewater Services Division to lead, design, and manage complex projects. The role oversees professional engineers and staff, coordinates with developers and agencies, and steers capital improvements and GIS/CADD initiatives.

The position requires a Florida PE license, a bachelor’s in civil engineering, and six years of experience with two in supervision.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or closely related field.
• Requires six (6) years progressively responsible professional engineering experience with two (2) years supervisory experience.
• Possess and maintain Professional Engineer License in the State of Florida for duration of assignment.

Responsibilities

• Schedules, assigns, and supervises engineering design projects and reviews plans and specifications.
• Supervises analyses and reviews of engineering studies prepared by consultants and recommends actions to leadership.
• Oversees construction plans, liaisons with outside agencies, and ensures project compliance and quality.
