Join to apply for the Water / Wastewater Engineering Specialist role at STV

STV is seeking a Water/Wastewater Engineering Specialist for our Water and Wastewater practice located in Louisville, KY or Lexington, KY. The successful candidate will support our current staff while helping to grow the water/wastewater practice to better serve our clients statewide.

Our engineers work on high-quality, high-profile, national, and international projects. You will participate in the full project cycle, from design through construction close-out. This role is ideal for a creative, self-motivated, and detail-oriented professional who enjoys teamwork and wants to join our growing water/wastewater team.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Production of contract documents including plans and specifications.
  2. Design and planning of water and wastewater pipelines, pumping, storage, and treatment systems.
  3. Perform hydraulic flow and pressure calculations, pump sizing, and develop system curves.
  4. Prepare construction and design cost estimates.
  5. Engage in project management, client communication, and business development.
  6. Conduct site visits during design and construction phases.
  7. Review shop drawings and submittals for compliance.
Required Qualifications
  1. Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited university or equivalent; Master’s preferred.
  2. 2+ years (4+ preferred) of experience in water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
  3. EIT certification required; preference for candidates with passed PE exam.
  4. Experience or coursework in water and wastewater systems is a plus.
  5. Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
  6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, InfoWater, WaterGems, KYPIPE, and InfoWorks as advantages.
  7. Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
  8. Motivated to exceed expectations and committed to professional growth.

Compensation Range

$57,639.00 - $76,852.00
