Job summary

Trinity Consultants in Tucson seeks a Principal Consultant specializing in Water/Wastewater Engineering to lead complex municipal projects and mentor junior staff.

You will apply regulatory and design expertise to deliver compliant water and wastewater solutions, manage risk, and build client relationships while guiding multi-disciplinary teams through project lifecycles. This role offers opportunities to shape strategy, grow market presence in Arizona, and collaborate across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• Preference for Professional Engineer (PE) in Arizona.
• Minimum of 10 years as a project manager in an engineering environment focused on water and wastewater.
• Expertise in federal and local water/wastewater regulations and design standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage and mentor Project Managers, Professional Engineers, EITs, designers and staff.
• Create and review proposals and professional services fees.
• Write, manage and QC technical engineering reports.
• Develop and manage water and wastewater design projects (distribution systems, pumps, piping).
• Oversee QC reviews of hydraulic models and master plans.
• Coordinate deliverables from subcontractors, vendors, and consultants.
• Facilitate communication between WestLand, partners, vendors, and clients.
• Build relationships with current and future clients; mentor staff.
• Oversee project delivery and risk mitigation across projects of varying complexity.
