Job summary

Fishbeck in Grand Rapids, MI is offering a Water/Wastewater Engineering Intern position for Summer 2027. This hands-on internship supports the W/WW team in design and evaluation tasks across multiple offices, with opportunities to observe site conditions and interact with clients.

The ideal candidate is pursuing a Civil or Environmental Engineering degree, has strong communication skills, and is eager to learn. Familiarity with AutoCAD or Revit is a plus, and hybrid schedules may be available.

Employment Type: Full-Time Internship

Working with our W/WW team,you will support design and evaluation of W/WW systems.

What You’ll Do

• Support the design and evaluation of water and wastewater systems.
• Analyze data and assist in preparing engineering reports.
• Collaborate with engineers across multiple offices and disciplines.
• Participate in site visits and client meetings to observe project conditions and progress.
• Learn how infrastructure decisions impact communities and the environment.

What We’re Looking For

• Currently enrolled in a Civil or Environmental Engineering program.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD or Revit is a plus.
• Previous internship or project experience in water/wastewater is helpful but not required.
• Eagerness to learn and contribute to meaningful work.
