DOWL is seeking an enthusiastic Water & Wastewater Intern for Summer 2027 in Bozeman, MT. You’ll gain hands-on experience with hydrology, hydraulics, and water resources projects, using HY-8, HEC-RAS, and HY-8 tools while supporting GIS mapping and design packages.

The internship focuses on mentoring and practical engineering, including field work, data analysis, and collaboration with civil, transportation, and geotechnical teams.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, preferably with a water focus.
• Ability to read and interpret technical materials and communicate findings.
• Driver’s license or commuting ability to job sites.
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsabilités

• Assist with field investigations and evaluation of design options.
• Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses using HY-8, HEC-RAS, and HEC-HMS.
• Develop map exhibits and GIS-based watershed characterizations.
• Support multiple engineering disciplines and construction administration tasks.
