Job summary

Baxter & Woodman in Houston invites engineering interns to join the environmental and construction teams. This on-site internship offers hands-on experience in designing and constructing water and wastewater facilities, working alongside graduate and professional engineers.

You will assist with evaluating plants, pipelines, pumping stations, and storm water pond management, while gaining exposure to cost estimates and field inspections.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a 4-year Civil/Environmental Engineering degree.
• Minimum 3.0/4.0 GPA.
• Available to start May 2027.
• Willing to travel throughout Houston area.
• Strong written, verbal, computer and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers with evaluation, study and design of water and wastewater facilities.
• Assist with storm water pond management and inspection.
• Calculate quantity takeoffs and cost estimates
• Perform site visits and field inspections
