Job summary

Baxter & Woodman is seeking a Water/Wastewater Engineering Client Manager in Houston or Katy, TX. You will oversee a team in the Water/Wastewater Department and manage small to large projects, building strong client relationships and providing engineering leadership.

The role requires a PE in TX or eligibility, ABET-accredited degree, and 5+ years in related fields. You will travel within the service area and represent the company in industry engagements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related experience in client management, project management, or design.
• Experience with municipal utility districts and/or local municipalities.
• Working knowledge of TCEQ, City of Houston, and County regulations.
• Knowledge of water and wastewater systems.
• Excellent technical writing and strong verbal and organizational skills.
• Ability to travel within the assigned office service areas.

Responsibilities

• Attend utility district meetings, sometimes outside business hours.
• Prepare and monitor project scopes, budgets, and schedules.
• Coordinate with departments to align with client expectations.
• Manage projects to deliver within scope, budget, and schedule.
• Represent the company in client and agency meetings.
• Review draft agreements and approve scopes and fees.
• Provide project management and engineering solutions.
• Coordinate knowledge transfer and training for staff.
• Prepare engineering proposals with business development and marketing.
