Job summary

Stanley Consultants is seeking a Student Intern to assist in the Water/Wastewater Department in Muscatine, IA. This temporary position offers exposure to water, wastewater, water reuse, and water resources projects, with potential to lead to full-time employment.

You will assist with data collection, design computations, and report development. Knowledge of Microstation, AutoCAD, Revit, or GIS is a plus; a Civil/Environmental Engineering major is required.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled and pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Civil/Environmental Engineering
• Must be at least a college sophomore with a minimum 3.0 (4.0 point scale) GPA
• Must have an interest in water wastewater, water reuse and/or water resources
• Knowledge of Microstation, AutoCAD, Revit, and/or GIS software is a plus
• Must possess strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Must possess good writing skills

Responsibilities

• Assist with data collection and analysis for water/wastewater projects.
• Check design computations and quantity estimates.
• Prepare preliminary calculations and designs of treatment processes, piping, and pumping facilities.
• Support development of reports, specifications, and plans.
• Periodically observe ongoing construction projects.
• Travel, client meetings, and field work may be required
