Job summary

HDR is actively seeking a Water/Wastewater Engineer in Missouri to join our Water Business Group. You will help shape drinking water and wastewater projects, applying strong technical knowledge to deliver sustainable solutions that protect public health and infrastructure.

In this role you will lead complex design and analyses, act as a technical specialist or project manager on mid-size projects, supervise staff, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams while thriving in HDR’s

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental or related engineering fields.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in water-focused projects.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent.
• Ability to work independently and with a project team.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex assignments with judgment in evaluation and modification of standard engineering techniques and procedures.
• Make decisions on design and engineering procedures as needed.
• Function as technical specialist or project manager on mid-size projects as needed.
• Supervise small staff of professionals and technicians as needed.
• Perform other duties as needed.

In the role of Water/Wastewater Engineer, we'll count on you to:

• Take responsibility for performing complex assignments exercising judgment in evaluation, selection and modification of standard engineering techniques and procedures
• Make decisions on significant design and engineering procedures as needed
• Function as technical specialist or project manager on mid-size projects as needed
• Supervise small staff of professionals and technicians as needed
• Perform other duties as needed

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental or related engineering fields
• A minimum of 3 years experience executing technical studies, analyses, and/or designing and creating plans and specifications for water focused projects
• Requires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered. Example: Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license.
• Ability to make independent decisions and be accountable for the results
• Self-motivated, able to work independently and with a project team to completion of a task
• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
