Bowman Consulting Group, Ltd. in Columbus, OH is seeking a Water/Wastewater Engineer II to join our team.

You will evaluate, select and apply standard engineering techniques on moderately complex projects, and collaborate with clients, agencies and design teams. The role requires a Bachelors in civil/environmental/mechanical engineering, 3+ years of water/wastewater experience, EIT certification, and proficiency with AutoCAD/Civil3D and hydraulic modeling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil, environmental, or mechanical engineering or related field required at time of employment.
• Three or more (3+) years of experience in water/wastewater engineering or related projects.
• EIT Certification required; PE eligibility preferred.
• Experience with computer applications and design software.
• Familiarity with reading construction plans.
• Experience with water/wastewater systems, water treatment, water distribution, pump stations and operations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Experience with software such as AutoCAD, Civil3D, hydraulic modeling.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct project tasks with senior review.
• Assist senior staff with clients, agencies, subcontractors and design teams.
• Make design recommendations and modifications.
• Plan, schedule, and coordinate detailed phases of assigned projects.
• Complete design work using CAD software.
• Prepare reports and correspondence on project direction.
• Review plans and prepare or review technical specifications, contract documents, and estimates.
• Mentor and train junior engineers.
• Work with project teams on water/wastewater projects to improve water resources.
