Job summary

Bowman Consulting in Columbus, OH is seeking a Water/Wastewater Engineer II to join our skilled team. The role focuses on evaluating, selecting, and applying standard engineering techniques to moderately complex water/wastewater projects while coordinating with senior staff and clients.

The position requires a 3+ year track record in water/wastewater engineering, a Bachelor's in a related field, and an EIT certification with PE eligibility preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil, environmental, or mechanical engineering or related field.
• Three or more (3+) years of experience in water/wastewater engineering or related projects.
• EIT Certification required; PE eligibility preferred.
• Experience with reading construction plans.
• Experience with water/wastewater systems, water treatment, water distribution, pump stations and operations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Experience with AutoCAD, Civil3D, hydraulic modeling.

Responsibilities

• Make design recommendations, adaptations, and modifications.
• Work with senior engineers, clients and agencies on moderately complex project issues.
• Evaluate, select and apply standard engineering techniques on moderately complex projects.
• Plan, schedule, and coordinate detailed phases of assigned project work.
• Complete design work using computer aided software.
• Prepare reports and correspondence concerning project direction.
• Collaborate with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects.
• Review plans and prepare or review technical specifications, contract documents, and estimates.
