Job summary

Bowman Consulting Group, Ltd. in Columbus, OH, seeks a Water/Wastewater Engineer III to join our team. Lead complex water/wastewater analysis, design, and permitting for public and private clients, with responsibility for project scope, schedules, and budgets.

You will guide junior staff, coordinate with clients and agencies, and contribute to marketing efforts while delivering high-quality civil engineering solutions in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree... in civil, environmental, or mechanical engineering or related field.
• Five or more years of experience in water/wastewater or related projects.
• State licensure in relevant engineering discipline preferred.
• Experience with computer applications and design software.
• Familiarity with reading construction plans.
• Experience with water/wastewater systems, water treatment, distribution, pump stations and operations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Experience with AutoCAD, Civil3D, and hydraulic modeling software.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction on complex assignments, applying extensive engineering knowledge.
• Assist with marketing of the firm’s capabilities to establish new clients and strengthen existing relationships.
• Apply advanced techniques and design practices in water/wastewater engineering and related disciplines.
• Serve as technical lead and liaison between clients, agencies, subcontractors, and design teams on complex projects.
• Develop design recommendations, adaptations, and modifications and plan detailed project phases.
• Perform field investigations, constructability reviews, and review specifications and estimates.
