Job summary

SEH is seeking a Professional Engineer - Water/Wastewater to lead and support municipal, utility, and industrial projects across Virginia. You will oversee facilities, distribution networks, and associated infrastructure, while mentoring junior staff and cultivating client relationships.

Qualified candidates have a PE license, ABET-accredited degree, and 8+ years in water/wastewater, with strong project management and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or related Engineering discipline from an ABET-accredited program.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required; Virginia PE preferred or ability to obtain within six months.
• 8+ years of experience in water and wastewater infrastructure planning, design, and construction support.
• Experience leading or supporting multidisciplinary projects from planning through construction.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support projects involving water and wastewater treatment facilities, distribution and collection systems, pump and lift stations, storage facilities, and related utility improvements.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop practical, cost-effective solutions; manage scope, schedule, budget, and quality.
• Foster strong client relationships; support business development efforts; mentor emerging professionals.
