Job summary

Kleinfelder is seeking a Water/Wastewater Engineer for our Kansas City, MO office. You will work with civil, environmental, and other engineers to deliver environmental projects for communities. The role involves technical reporting, design, and collaboration with field staff.

Applicants should hold a Civil/Environmental Engineering degree with 5–10+ years of design experience, and may pursue a P.E. license within a year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering; Master's preferred.
• 5–10+ years of environmental engineering design experience.
• Experience in municipal wastewater and drinking water design and construction.
• Missouri or Kansas P.E. license or EIT with ability to obtain P.E. within 1 year.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

We are currently seeking a full-time Water/Wastewater Engineer to join our Kansas City, MO office. Our team works with communities on a wide range of civil, municipal, and environmental projects. We are looking for a Professional Engineer who would work with Engineers, CAD Technicians, Construction Observers, Land Survey Chiefs and office staff in various capacities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Participate in Business Development, including initiation of client contacts and preparation of project proposals.
• Client contact including attendance at board or council meetings.
• Prepare detailed technical engineering reports.
• Prepare plans and specifications for specific projects.
• Work with Construction Observers/Resident Technicians during all facets of construction.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering with Master's degree preferred.
• 5-10+ years of environmental engineering design experience.
• Experience in municipal wastewater treatment and drinking water treatment design and construction.
• Missouri or Kansas P.E. license or EIT certification with ability to obtain P.E. license within 1 year preferred.
