Job summary

Kleinfelder is seeking a full-time Water/Wastewater Engineer to join our Kansas City, MO office. The team handles civil, municipal, and environmental projects with engineers, CAD technicians, construction observers, and office staff in various roles.

The candidate should have a Civil or Environmental Engineering degree, 5–10+ years of environmental design experience, and MO/KS PE or EIT with PE within a year preferred. The firm values development and career growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering; Master’s degree preferred.
• Experience in environmental engineering design for municipal water and wastewater facilities.
• P.E. license in MO/KS or EIT with plan to obtain P.E. within 12 months preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in Business Development, including client contacts and proposal preparation.
• Attend board or council meetings as a client liaison.
• Prepare detailed technical engineering reports.
• Prepare plans and specifications for projects.
• Work with Construction Observers/Resident Technicians during all facets of construction.

Position Description

We are currently seeking a full-time Water/Wastewater Engineer to join our Kansas City, MO office. Our team works with communities on a wide range of civil, municipal, and environmental projects. We are looking for a Professional Engineer who would work with Engineers, CAD Technicians, Construction Observers, Land Survey Chiefs and office staff in various capacities.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering with Master’s degree preferred.
• 5-10+ years of environmental engineering design experience.
• Experience in municipal wastewater treatment and drinking water treatment design and construction.
• Missouri or Kansas P.E. license or EIT certification with ability to obtain P.E. license within 1 year preferred.
