Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Design Manager to join our Water Business Line in Phoenix, Arizona. This role leads regional planning, design, and delivery of municipal water and wastewater projects across the Southwest, with emphasis on Arizona, California, and Texas.

The ideal candidate will mentor engineers, build high-performing teams, and drive technically sound, cost-effective solutions from planning through construction. A PE license and 15+ years in water/wastewater are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineer license in Arizona; California or Texas licensure desirable.
• Minimum 15 years in municipal water and wastewater engineering with leadership experience through planning, design, and construction.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical and project delivery leader for municipal water and wastewater projects in the Southwest.
• Provide team leadership, technical oversight, and multidisciplinary coordination through project lifecycle.
• Lead integrated, multidisciplinary project teams using staff from Phoenix and other Arcadis offices; mentor and coordinate resources; support business development.
