Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Principal Design Manager to lead municipal water and wastewater design and construction efforts in Southern California. This role combines project management, client management, and hands-on technical leadership to deliver complex water projects.

The ideal candidate will have 15+ years of experience, a California PE license, and a Bachelor's degree in a related field. The position emphasizes staff development, client growth, and collaboration across the Resilience Water

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in design management for water/wastewater projects.
• Licensed Professional Engineer in California.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and construction of municipal water/wastewater facilities, pump stations, and distribution systems.
• Oversee project delivery, schedule, and budget.
• Mentor engineers and designers, supervise staff, and develop the team.
• Support business development and maintain client relationships.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams and ensure Arcadis standards.
