Job summary

PACE is seeking a Design Engineer with a focused background in water resources to work on water and wastewater systems. You will perform hydraulic calculations, assist in field work and prepare drawings and specifications. The role requires travel to project sites in Arizona and ultimately office-based work at PACE.

Requirements include a Bachelor's in civil/environmental engineering, 1–5 years' experience, and AutoCAD proficiency. EIT eligibility is expected; ArcGIS experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil, environmental or related engineering required.
• Passed EIT or eligible to sit for the exam.
• University coursework in water, hydraulics and water/wastewater processes.
• Water and sewer hydraulic modeling experience.
• 1–5 years of experience.
• Creative problem‑solving skills and strong communication.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD; ability to travel within Arizona.

Responsibilities

• Perform hydraulic calculations and equipment sizing.
• Support field/construction activities and site visits.
• Prepare construction documents (specifications and drawings).
• Conduct hydraulic modeling and research; write technical reports.
• Coordinate with vendors and provide construction support; respond to RFIs.
