Job summary

Carollo Engineers in Phoenix, AZ, is seeking an entry-level water/wastewater engineer to contribute to planning, design and construction support for water infrastructure projects.

The ideal candidate has a Civil/Environmental Engineering degree, EIT certification, and strong communication, teamwork, and computer skills (MS Word/Excel). Experience with ArcGIS or AutoCAD and WaterGEMS is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Chemical or Environmental Engineering.
• Coursework in physical, chemical, and biological processes; hydraulics; and water/wastewater design.
• 0 to 4 years of directly-relevant experience in water and wastewater engineering.
• Engineer-in-Training Certification.
• Strong verbal and written communication; teamwork.
• Proficient in MS Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering work in water and wastewater treatment and conveyance infrastructure.
• Work on planning and design projects.
• Prepare reports.
• Develop plans and specifications.
• Prepare cost estimates for water and wastewater projects.
• Model systems.
• Permitting and alternative analysis.
• Prepare technical memoranda, reports and electronic deliverables.
• Provide engineering services during construction; participate in field activities such as pilot testing.
