Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking a Mechanical Engineer, PE in Atlanta to contribute to mechanical system design for water and wastewater facilities. You will develop design documents, calculations, and specifications, collaborating with project managers to produce build-ready packages.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years in mechanical design for mechanical, plumbing, and performance-based fire protection systems.
• PE license required or in progress.
• Familiarity with building codes, ASHRAE design manuals/guides, and LEED requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical system designs from concept through construction with guidance from an EIT.
• Perform HVAC load calculations, energy models, life cycle cost analyses, and ventilation calculations.
• Size equipment and develop layouts for HVAC and plumbing systems.
• Review and edit construction specifications (MasterSpec) for applicable projects.
• Participate in construction administration, respond to RFIs, review shop drawings, and observe sites.
