Job summary

The LPX Group in Indianapolis, IN seeks a Superintendent to lead water and wastewater construction and renovation projects. You will provide planning, supervision, and documentation, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant execution while managing on-site safety for subcontractors and vendors.

You will direct field teams, collaborate with Project Managers, review drawings and schedules, monitor budgets, and maintain clear records to keep projects on track and within safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years as a Superintendent on water or wastewater construction projects.
• 7+ years of hands-on field experience in water and wastewater facility construction or related infrastructure.
• Strong ability to interpret construction documents, drawings, and schedules.
• Familiarity with project management tools such as Procore or Vista is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site leadership for safety, scheduling, workforce planning, coordination, cost control, and adherence to company policies.
• Direct day-to-day operations of field teams and subcontractors, ensuring quality standards and timely execution.
• Collaborate with Project Managers to plan, sequence, and monitor construction and procurement activities.
• Review construction documents, drawings, specifications, and subcontractor submittals for accuracy and compliance.
• Monitor and manage project budgets, approve field expenditures, and assist with change orders.
• Maintain detailed project documentation and promote clear, timely communication with all stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and proactively identify training and safety needs.
• Evaluate crew performance, provide mentorship to foreman, and resolve on-site challenges effectively.
