Job summary

Pape-Dawson Engineers in Austin, TX, is seeking a Construction Manager to oversee infrastructure construction projects from pre-construction through closeout, managing schedule, budget, quality, and safety. You will coordinate with contractors, clients and internal teams to deliver successful outcomes.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field, 6 years of progressive CM experience, and CCM is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of progressive construction management experience.
• CCM certification strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated capability leading project teams and coordinating with contractors and stakeholders.
• Knowledge of project controls, documentation, and construction administration processes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee project scope, schedule, budget, safety, and quality to support on-time delivery.
• Lead project administration activities (RFIs, submittals, change management, pay applications, closeout).
• Coordinate with contractors, clients, agencies, and internal disciplines to resolve issues and maintain progress.
• Maintain and review project documentation and reporting to track progress, compliance, and risks.
• Promote job site safety and oversee environmental compliance.
• Lead and mentor project staff, supporting workload coordination.
• Facilitate startup/commissioning activities, punch lists, and coordination with supporting teams.
• Support constructability reviews and value engineering efforts to improve delivery efficiency.
