Job summary

ESP Associates, Inc. in Fort Collins, CO is seeking a Water/Wastewater Construction Manager to lead the construction of water and wastewater projects across the Front Range.

This owner’s-agent role requires coordinating the project team and managing budgets, schedules, and safety to deliver facilities on time and within scope. The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s in civil engineering or construction management, 7+ years of related experience, and relevant licenses or the ability to obtain them

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Construction Engineering, or related field
• Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Colorado; CM/CMA or PMP certs preferred or ability to obtain within 12 months
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in civil engineering and construction with emphasis on water/wastewater, municipal, state and federal projects
• Experience with CM/GC, CMaR, hard-bid delivery models or similar

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain PMP, schedules, and budgets, including processing monthly pay requests and invoices
• Manage project phases from start to close, overseeing budget, schedule, risks, and stakeholders
• Lead meetings between owner, design team, and general contractor to ensure project goals are met
• Oversee on-site inspections, ensure compliance with technical specifications, and manage inspection staff
• Evaluate change orders and implement risk-management plans to avoid delays
• Ensure safety and environmental compliance, including permit management
• Coordinate commissioning, system tie-ins, and closeout activities for operations handover
• Identify and help develop future work opportunities and assist in proposals
