Job summary

HNTB in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a field Inspector to oversee private development water main extensions and ensure compliance with plans and specifications in the Carmel/Indy area. The role includes daily logs, on-site material testing, and coordination with the Team Lead.

A High School diploma and 3 years of construction experience are required; jurisdictional certificates are also expected. This is a full-time, on-site position located in the Indianapolis area with opportunities to work in

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent and 3 years of construction related experience.
• All required jurisdictional certificates and state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Observes, documents, and verifies work in progress by the construction contractor to ensure compliance with contract documents and plans. Confirms procedures are followed and material used conforms to specifications.
• Utilizes engineering inspection practices to perform standard mathematical calculations and measurements of completed work to date.
• Maintains Inspector's daily report of assigned work activities, contactor labor and equipment, quantity of material received and verified.
• Performs on-site material testing and produces as-constructed sketches as required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
