Job summary

HNTB Corporation in Indianapolis, IN seeks a Construction Inspector to perform daily inspection of water main extensions and monitor compliance with plans, specifications and contract provisions. You will maintain daily logs, document progress, conduct on-site material testing, and produce as-built sketches as required, coordinating with the Team Lead.

Requires a High School Diploma/GED with 3 years of construction experience; proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to work with contractors

Qualifications

• Capable of operating testing equipment and calculating pay quantities.

Responsibilities

• Observes, documents, and verifies work in progress to ensure compliance with contract documents.
• Maintains Inspector's daily log of activities, labor, equipment, and material quantities.
• Performs on-site material testing and produces as-constructed sketches.
• Reviews discrepancies with Team Lead.

Maintains daily logs of inspection work which is assigned and reviews discrepancies or changes with Team Lead. Work will be located in the Indianapolis area.What You'll Do:Observes, documents, and verifies work in progress by the construction contractor to ensure compliance with contract documents and plans.
