Job summary

McCarthy Building Companies, Inc. is seeking a General Superintendent for its Water and Wastewater Business Unit in the Phoenix area.

This role owns field operations, safety, schedule, quality, and cost control across the project, leading Superintendents and mentoring staff to ensure on-time, profitable project completion. You will collaborate with Project Director and Project Manager, drive labor productivity, and manage self-perform work, subcontractors, and logistics from preconstruction

Qualifications

• General Superintendents have the skills and expertise needed to lead field operations on individual projects of $100M or greater or multiple projects.
• Should be open to travel and/or relocation.
• Minimum 10 years' Water/Wastewater experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the One Team and Smart & Healthy culture initiatives with project staff.
• Assist Estimating in bidding opportunities with constructability reviews and preconstruction input.
• Ensure concrete, civil, mechanical reviews and logistics plans are done for project.
• Lead and monitor work planning process; develop budgets, productivity, and labor reporting.
• Develop CPM schedules and site logistics plans; coordinate with subs on build approach.
• Develop and maintain relationships with owners, engineers, and inspectors.
