Job summary

Kimley-Horn's Panama City Beach, Florida office seeks a Civil Engineer with 4+ years of experience to join the Water/Wastewater and Utilities team. This is not a remote position and offers opportunities to work with a multidisciplinary group on a variety of projects.

You will design water systems, manage tasks and budgets, and collaborate with clients and regulatory agencies. A P.E. license or plan to obtain within 12 months is expected, with strong communication and leadership potential.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant engineering design experience.
• P.E. license or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• Experience designing pump stations, pipelines and water/wastewater facilities.
• Hydraulic modeling experience with WaterGEMS/SewerGEMS/InfoWater.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Entrepreneurial spirit with potential to lead a practice.

Responsibilities

• Design water transmission and distribution systems, pumping stations, and treatment facilities.
• Manage project tasks, design work, permitting, and construction coordination.
• Provide guidance to less experienced staff and monitor project progress.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external clients.
• Maintain high-quality plans and review colleagues' work.
• Develop work plans and manage budgets set by clients.
• Attend meetings with clients and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance.
• Foster internal and external professional relationships.
