Job summary

Kimley-Horn's Sherman, Texas office is seeking engineering graduates with 1+ year of civil engineering experience to join our Water/Wastewater team. This is not a remote position.

You will assist in designing water transmission and distribution systems, pumping stations, and treatment facilities while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver municipal water and wastewater projects with high-quality plans and client interactions.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience at a civil engineering design firm.
• ABET-accredited bachelor’s or master’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
• Strong sense of urgency to meet client deadlines.
• Detail-oriented with ability to work both independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing water transmission and distribution systems, pumping stations, conveyance systems, water treatment systems, and related planning and rehabilitation projects.
• Work on municipal water and wastewater utility designs.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to complete projects successfully.
• Maintain high-quality plan sets and review the work of others.
• Receive on-the-job and formal training, mentorship, and exposure to plan production, project financials, and client interactions.
