Job summary

Central States Water Resources is seeking a Lead Plant Supervisor to manage lead plant operators and oversee daily water and wastewater facility operations. You will ensure safe operation of all crucial equipment through regular inspection and maintenance, and assist in regulatory compliance with local, state, and federal standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• OSHA safety training is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Experience supervising teams in water/wastewater operations preferred.
• Water and Wastewater Certificates preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and perform routine scheduled maintenance at assigned facilities
• Assess problems and diagnose equipment failures
• Check the condition of lift stations as needed
• Pull motors and pumps for needed maintenance
• Inspect gate valves
• Locate and mark distribution system facilities
• Ensure the proper installation, relocate, and adjustment of meter boxes and valve cans
• Exterior maintenance of grounds and buildings including lawn and landscaping
• Assist with water and wastewater line repairs and other work as directed
• Always ensure the cleanliness and safety of the facility
• Submit orders necessary supplies
• Delegate the completion of customer work orders as required
• Maintain a daily maintenance log for regulatory requirements
• Manage employee performance and counseling with the supervision of HR
• All other duties as assigned
