The City of Fort Worth is seeking a Safety Specialist to protect a workforce over 1,000 across water and wastewater operations. You will conduct hazard assessments, lead investigations, deliver safety training, and develop programs to strengthen a proactive safety culture while ensuring OSHA compliance.

Responsibilities include data analysis, procedure creation, cross‑divisional collaboration, and emergency response planning.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s Degree with major in Safety Management, Occupational Health and Safety, Business or Public Administration or related field
• 3 years of progressively responsible safety/health audits or inspections experience
• Valid driver’s license

Mansioni

• Leads safety and health projects across the utility, training personnel and prioritizing safety improvements
• Researches safety standards and determines impact on the utility
• Oversees safety program audits and ensures corrective actions are implemented
• Develops safety training and coordinates delivery across the utility
• Analyzes illness, injury and vehicle incident data and prepares reports
• Manages data/reporting systems and supports procedure development
• Represents Fort Worth Water’s safety interests in groups and exercises emergency plans
