Job summary

The City of Fort Worth is seeking a Business Process Analyst II to connect people, processes, and systems across the Water Utility and City departments. You will investigate operational challenges, document workflows, and design practical solutions—from small workflow tweaks to system changes—that improve efficiency and reliability.

You will build and maintain reports and dashboards, provide data for forecasting and budgeting, and ensure data accuracy for trusted decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field.
• Four (4) years of business analysis experience in finance, revenue generation, or related area.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Solve operational problems: serve as a point of contact for business processes and system issues, investigate root causes, and resolve or elevate concerns.
• Improve how work gets done: gather requirements, document workflows, and recommend changes to improve efficiency, consistency, and reliability.
• Turn data into insights: develop and maintain reports and dashboards to help staff understand performance, identify trends, and inform decisions.
• Ensure reliable data for financial forecasting, benchmarking, reporting, rate modeling, and informed decision-making.
• Analyze financial, budget, and water usage data to support forecasting, benchmarking, rate modeling, and issue resolution.
• Strengthen data accuracy: perform QA checks, investigate discrepancies, and maintain data integrity for reliable analysis.
• Measure results: track ROI for initiatives, support project prioritization, and allocate resources to maximize value for customers.
