City of Seguin, TX seeks an Operations Manager to supervise daily operations of the water wellfield, treatment facilities, storage, and transmission mains. Responsibilities include budget planning, asset and maintenance programs, and regulatory reporting to ensure safe, compliant water service.

Successful candidate will lead staff, manage safety programs, and coordinate with contractors, regulators, and boards to maintain water quality and system reliability.

Formación

• Graduate degrees or higher with supervisory/managerial experience in public water system operations and maintenance.
• Substantial hands-on experience in public water system operations and maintenance with progressive responsibilities.
• Licenses and certifications required or preferred as listed: Class A Water Operator License or ability to obtain; CPR certification.

Responsabilidades

• Plan, organize, direct and evaluate operations of water system facilities and wellfield.
• Oversee budget development, asset management, and maintenance programs.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with state and federal requirements (TCEQ).
• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and regulatory agencies; prepare reports.
• Supervise staff, develop training, and enforce safety policies.

Educación

GED + 8 years hands-on experience with supervisory responsibilities

Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, engineering, microbiology, bacteriology or related discipline + 5 years hands-on experience with supervisory responsibilities

Master's degree in chemistry, biology, engineering, microbiology, bacteriology or related discipline + 4 years hands-on experience with supervisory responsibilities
