Job summary

The City of Seguin, TX is seeking a Warehouse Superintendent to lead the Utilities Warehouse, overseeing daily operations, inventory control, and distribution for electric, water, and wastewater projects. You will supervise staff, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with city policies and regulations.

Requirements include a high school diploma and five years of warehousing or related supervisory experience, plus CPR, forklift, and safety certifications as applicable.

Qualifications

• High school graduation or equivalent; five years of warehousing, inventory control, materials management, purchasing, or related experience, including supervisory experience.
• Experience with inventory accuracy, reconciliation, purchasing and receiving, recordkeeping, cycle counts, and annual physical inventory.
• Knowledge of water, wastewater, and/or electric utility materials and operations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans, organizes, supervises, and evaluates daily operations of the Utilities Warehouse to support utility operations, capital projects, and emergency response.
• Supervises, trains, mentors, and evaluates warehouse personnel; sets performance expectations and ensures policy compliance.
• Coordinates recruitment, promotion, discipline, and performance evaluations; handles coaching and improvement plans.
• Administers warehouse budget, identifies efficiency opportunities, and reduces costs where possible.
• Oversees inventory management, including procurement, receiving, storage, issuance, tracking, and reconciliation.
