Job summary

City of Madison Water Utility seeks a One Call Coordinator to manage field and office tasks for locating and marking underground water installations across Madison. The role coordinates responses to One Call requests and ensures procedures are followed in the lead replacement program.

Under limited supervision, you will prioritize requests, assign work, and document field findings using Kortera, Cityworks, and GT Viewer.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of directly related experience in underground water utilities.
• Two (2) years of directly related experience in locating underground utilities.
• Two (2) years of applying GIS mapping, field surveying, underground installations, lead replacement program, and one-call systems.

Responsibilities

• Review one call location requests; assess workloads and prioritize locations.
• Locate and mark underground installations using Cityworks or GT Viewer.
• Liaise with contractors on discrepancies in location and marking.
• Write work orders in Cityworks and document field discrepancies.
• Coordinate with plumbing contractors regarding Lead Replacement program.
• Inspect contractor sites to ensure procedures are followed.
• Perform related duties as required.
