Job summary

The City of Madison Water Utility is seeking a One Call Coordinator to manage field and office tasks related to locating and marking underground water installations throughout the City. This role coordinates responses to requests processed through the Statewide One Call Program and works with contractors and the public to ensure understanding of procedures in the lead replacement program.

Employees may be eligible for loan forgiveness through the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program.

Qualifications

Two years of related experience in construction/maintenance of underground water utilities.
Two years of related experience in locating underground utilities.
Experience with GIS mapping, field surveying, underground utility installations, lead replacement program and one-call system software.

Responsibilities

Use Kortera software to review one call location requests; assess workloads and prioritize location of underground utilities.
Use Cityworks or GT Viewer software to locate and mark One Call requests per established codes for water installations.
Act as liaison between Madison Water Utility and contractors when discrepancies are found in location and marking of underground installations.
Use Cityworks to write up work orders or service requests for repairs; document discrepancies and submit to Water Utility Engineering for correction.
Coordinate with plumbing contractors regarding the Lead Replacement program.
Inspect contractor job sites to ensure procedures are followed.
Perform related work as required.
