Job summary

Aqua, an Essential Utilities company, seeks a Utility Worker I at our Roaring Creek Local Office to repair main breaks, install new services, and maintain valves and hydrants. You will document all work in our system and support emergency responses as needed.

This role requires a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license, and CDL within 120 days. You will lift up to 100 lbs, pass a DOT medical exam, and use field tools and GIS data to support safe, compliant water operations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid U.S. driver's license.
• CDL must be attained within 120 days of hire.
• DOT medical exam required.
• Ability to lift 100 lbs.
• Proficiency with computers and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Operates and maintains water distribution facilities including mains, valves, hydrants, and service lines.
• Complies with EPA/PUC regulations and company safety policies.
• Maintains and operates equipment and vehicles used for water system upkeep.
• Reads maps, drawings, and GIS data to guide tasks.
• Performs field service and water meter reading as assigned.
• Responds to after-hours calls and overtime when required.
