Aqua America, Inc. in Roaring Creek, PA is seeking a Utility Worker I to join the Local Office team. You will repair main breaks and service leaks, install new services, and maintain valves and hydrants, while performing water main mark outs per PA One Call.
You will use company handheld devices to document work orders, read maps and schematics, and perform monthly leak detection. A valid driver's license is required, and a CDL must be obtained within 120 days; lifting 100 lbs and operating
We have a great opportunity for a Utility Worker I at our Roaring Creek Local Office location! The Utility Worker I will report directly to the Field Supervisor and be responsible for repairing main breaks and service leaks, installation of new services, and repairing/replacing valves and fire hydrants. Duties also include performing water main mark outs in accordance with the requirements of the PA One Call regulations. The Utility Worker I will also be responsible for performing monthly leak detection on Aqua facilities using company leak detection equipment. All work and time will be documented through the company’s work order system using a wireless handheld device.
Rate of pay: $27.79. All employees hired or entering the bargaining unit on or after May 24, 2017, will receive three dollars ($3.00) per hour less than the classification wage rate. The wage reduction will be returned in one dollar ($1.00) increases once a year over a three (3) year period. Employee will receive annual contract increases.
