Job summary

City of Brooksville is seeking a dedicated team member for water construction, repair and maintenance of water systems. The role requires independent motivation, sound judgment, and the ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

On-call rotation and emergency response duties are expected, including after-hours and holidays. Employees must participate in emergency preparedness and required NIMS training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Two years experience in water/sewer systems preferred.
• FWPCOA Level III or equivalent certification preferred.
• Certifications in Confined Space, Trenching and Shoring within one year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain meters, controls, piping and related water/sewer components.
• Dig trenches, backfill, and operate construction equipment.
• Handle customer complaints and communicate outcomes to management.
• Complete written work orders accurately and on time.
