Job summary

Aqua, Inc. is seeking a Water Treatment Technician for the Kankakee/Will County division. This role operates and maintains water treatment facilities, tests water quality, and ensures continuous service across shifts.

The position requires a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license, and ability to lift 50 pounds. A Class A license is required within six months of employment or eligibility to test.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical school preferred.
• Must have a valid U.S. Driver’s License.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and data manipulation.
• Class A Public Water Supply Operator license within 6 months if not already held.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain water treatment plant facilities and equipment.
• Monitor chemical feeds, pumps, valves, and distribution systems.
• Perform inspections, tests, and data recording for regulatory reporting.
• Read and interpret instruments; backwash intakes as needed.
• Prepare reports for EPA, ICC, and other entities.
• Provide preventive maintenance and emergency repairs as required.
