The Multi-Domain Solutions (MDS) division is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Water Treatment Technician to maintain and optimize water treatment systems critical to HVAC operations in commercial, industrial, or large institutional buildings. This role ensures the efficiency, safety, and longevity of HVAC systems—such as cooling towers, boilers, and chillers—by managing and maintaining proper water chemistry and treatment processes.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Maintain and monitor water treatment systems associated with HVAC equipment including cooling towers, boilers, chillers, and related components.
  • Test water for critical parameters such as pH, alkalinity, hardness, conductivity, chlorine levels, and biological contaminants.
  • Interpret test results and apply appropriate chemical treatments to prevent scaling, corrosion, and biological growth.
  • Maintain accurate records of water quality testing and chemical usage.
  • Perform regular maintenance on water treatment equipment, including pumps, filters, controllers, and dosing systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to water chemistry or equipment malfunction.

Ensure compliance with all applicable environmental and safety regulations.

Work collaboratively with HVAC technicians, building engineers, and facility managers to ensure optimal system performance.

Basic Qualifications
  • TS/SCI w/ Poly Clearance is required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience in automotive or heavy equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Completion of a formal training program in automotive technology or a related mechanical field.
  • Hands-on experience inspecting, maintaining, and repairing a variety of vehicles and machinery, including automobiles, motorcycles, trucks, forklifts, and buses.
  • Proficiency with diagnostic tools such as motor analyzers, pressure gauges, chassis charts, and factory service manuals.
  • Ability to disassemble, overhaul, and repair components including engines, transmissions, clutches, starters, generators, alternators, differentials, and pumps.
  • Experience performing mechanical and electrical adjustments and repairs such as valve grinding, brake adjustments, wheel alignment, wiring repairs, and lighting adjustments.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision and solve moderately complex problems.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with project teams and internal departments.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience or knowledge in the following technical areas:
  • Cooling Systems - Installation and service of HVAC and refrigeration units.

  • Energy Efficiency - Knowledge of practices to improve fuel and energy consumption in fleet or equipment usage.
  • Project Management - Experience leading repair or maintenance projects, including scheduling and resource coordination.
  • Quality Control (QC) - Conducting inspections to meet regulatory and company standards.
  • Safety Assurance - Ensuring workplace safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Certifications in automotive repair, diesel mechanics, or specialized areas (e.g., ASE, HVAC).
  • Familiarity with equipment operations in manufacturing, warehousing, or fleet management environments.
