Are you an organized and detail-oriented professional with a passion for safeguarding the integrity of critical systems? Are you ready to take on a role where your expertise will make a critical impact? The Multi-Domain Solutions (MDS) division is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Water Treatment Technician to maintain and optimize water treatment systems critical to HVAC operations in commercial, industrial, or large institutional buildings. This role ensures the efficiency, safety, and longevity of HVAC systems—such as cooling towers, boilers, and chillers—by managing and maintaining proper water chemistry and treatment processes.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Maintain and monitor water treatment systems associated with HVAC equipment including cooling towers, boilers, chillers, and related components.
  • Test water for critical parameters such as pH, alkalinity, hardness, conductivity, chlorine levels, and biological contaminants.
  • Interpret test results and apply appropriate chemical treatments to prevent scaling, corrosion, and biological growth.
  • Maintain accurate records of water quality testing and chemical usage.
  • Perform regular maintenance on water treatment equipment, including pumps, filters, controllers, and dosing systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to water chemistry or equipment malfunction.

Ensure compliance with all applicable environmental and safety regulations.

Work collaboratively with HVAC technicians, building engineers, and facility managers to ensure optimal system performance.

Basic Qualifications
  • TS/SCI w/ Poly Clearance required
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience in water treatment, HVAC, or related mechanical fields.
  • Completion of a formal training program in water treatment, HVAC, or a related mechanical discipline.
  • Hands-on experience inspecting, maintaining, and repairing water treatment and HVAC systems.
  • Proficiency with diagnostic tools such as pH meters, conductivity meters, and chemical testing kits.
  • Ability to disassemble, overhaul, and repair water treatment components including pumps, valves, and controllers.
  • Experience performing mechanical and electrical adjustments and repairs.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision and solve moderately complex problems.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with project teams and internal departments.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience or knowledge in HVAC system installation and service.
  • Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and preventive maintenance practices.
  • Ability to investigate equipment failures and determine root causes.
  • Interpretation of mechanical and electrical technical specifications.
  • Skilled in troubleshooting complex mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Knowledge of energy efficiency practices.
  • Experience leading repair or maintenance projects.
  • Certifications such as EPA 608, HVAC, or water treatment certifications.
  • Familiarity with safety standards and regulatory compliance.

Pay Range: $46,800.00 - $84,600.00
